Claude L. Herring, Sept 18, 1894 - apr 10, 1917. Anna Smiley, his wife, Age 26 years, died Dec 4, 1918. Claude James Jr. Sep 28, 1914, Dec 1, 1918. Claude Lawson Herring was a son of John Milton Herring and Cassander Woods. He was a grandson of Andrew Carver Herring and Latitia E. Crooks. He was my 2nd cousin twice removed. On June 2, 1914 in Callaway Co., Missouri, he married Anna M. Smiley. Their son Claude J. Herring died 3 days before his mother, the whole family died within a year of each other.
