Benjamin Herring, my 4th great grandfather, born between 1766 and 1775, Albemarle Co. Virginia, died 1838, Callaway Co. Missouri. On Dec. 27, 1797 in Albemarle Co., Virginia he married Nancy Hill. She died between 1810 and 1819 in Albemarle Co., Virginia. He was probably one of the 1st burials here. No headsones are left in this cemetery.

He was a son of Benjamin Herring and Nancy Hill, grandson of Henry Hill and Susanna Jones all of Albemarle Co. Virginia. On Nov. 11, 1819 in Albemarle Co., Virginia, he married his 1st cousin, Mariah Hill. Readable footstone existed in 1933. No headsones are left in this cemetery.

Herring. After his death she married Ezra B. Sitton, after his death she married Thomas Dulin. She was a daughter of Charles Hill Sr. and Molly Hill, a granddaughter of Henry Hill and Susanna Jones all of Albemarle Co. Virginia. Readable headstone existed in 1933.
