    • Daniel Simcoe, 73, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, from complications of cancer and Alzheimer's disease.
      Graveside service: (private) 2 p.m. Friday in Pineville Cemetery in Pineville, Mo. The service is being handled locally by Ozark Funeral Home, Anderson, Texas.
      Memorials: Should friends desire, donations may be made to Vista Care Foundation, 7557 Rambler Road, Suite 440, Dallas, Texas 75231.
      Dan was born Dec. 15, 1930, to James and Myrtle Simcoe in Moberly, Mo. He received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 1952. He was property tax manager for Dresser Industries until starting his own property tax business. Dan was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandson.
      The family would like to extend their gratitude to Vista Care Hospice and their deepest gratitude to Greg Clark for his care, support and patience over the past two years.
      Dan was preceded in death by his parents, James and Myrtle Simcoe; brother, James; and twin brother, Samuel.
      Survivors: Wife of 52 years, Shirley Shinn Simcoe; daughter, Tracey and husband, Brent; grandson, Garrett; one niece; and numerous cousins.
