    • There was a mistake on his headstone, it appears the stone was put up at least 20 years after his death. The date of death on the stone is 1917, he actually died in 1918.

      School teacher

      It is possible he was adopted. On the 1900 census, his mother is listed as having no children born or died. It was also almost 7 years before the next child was born. speculation
