    William T. Carrington and Susan Clark Fisher
    William Carrington, June 2, 1815 - Nov. 26, 1891. Susan Clark Carrington, Oct. 23, 1821 - May 25, 1879. William T. Carrington was a son of Randolph Carrington and Katharine McGary. He was my 2nd great granduncle. On Mar. 12, 1840 in Callaway Co., Missouri, he married Susan Clark Fisher. She was a daughter of Thomas Fisher and Isabella Humphreys.…

    • Judge William T. Carrington founded the town of Carrington, Missouri on June 5, 1872.

      William Carrington came to Callaway Co., Mo. from Montgomery Co., Ky. at the age of eleven.

      William Carrington was commissioned Captain of Co. 1 of 24th Battalion Reg., 12th Div. of the National Guard. He held this position for many years and prepared a fine group for the war of Mexico and drilled many who later entered both sides in the War among the States.

      In 1851 he was a liberal contributor to the founding of Westminster College, one of the first Protestant Educational Institutions of college rank established in Missouri.

      Following the Civil War, Mr. Carrington was made County Judge

      After the family home was destroyed by fire in 1889, Judge Carrington spent his last few years in Fulton with his two maiden daughters. He went to his reward Thanksgiving Day 1891
