      I-n the 2 Vol book, "From Castle to Country" by Dorothy Gibbs which is a Gibbs Family History from 1378 to the Present, pg 1129, "Francis Gibbs was the fourth child and second son of Zacharias Gibbs, Sr. and his wife Mary, last name Massie. He was born in 1734 and spent most of his life in Madison County Virginia. During the Revolutionary War he was a soldier under Captain Hoggs' Rangers. around 1762 he married Nancy Ann head, the daughter of Alfred Head, her mother's name is unkown. Francis died in 1810 and his estate was appraised at 786.19.0 pounds, which included two farms and other property" Francis and Nancy Ann Head Overton were the parents of six children.

      Francis Gibbs was the 4th child and 2nd s/o Zacharias Gibbs, Sr. and his wife Mary, last name Massie. He B: 1734 and spent most of his life in Madison Co VA During the Revolutionary War he was a soldier under Captain Hoggs' Rangers.
