    • He was a Revolutionary War soldier, Battle of Brandywine under Capt. John Childs, served 18 months, Infantry Continental Line, Pvt.
      Have a copy of a paper where John P. Nichols swears he knew Joseph and heard him tell of being in the Rev. War - May 4, 1850 and one of the petition for pension.
