    • MRS. PERMELIA SIMCOE DIED AT NOON TODAY

Funeral Services to Be Held at the Richland Baptist Church on Thursday

Mrs. Permelia Bailey Simcoe, 85 years old, a native and life long resident of Callaway county, died at 12:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the home of her brother, R. S. (Doc) Craig, 1001 Nichols Street.

Mrs. Simcoe had been in failing health for eight years. She suffered at stroke of paralysis on December 16, 1933 and since that time had been in ill health.

Mrs. Simcoe was born July 20, 1851, in the Richland community of Callaway county, north of Fulton, the daughter of William T. and Sidney Smith Craig, pioneers of the Kingdom, who came from Kentucky and Virginia, respectively. She spent her entire life in Callaway county, except for two years in Texas.

She was married November 25, 1886 to Samuel W. Simcoe, who died in 1923. Mrs. Simcoe had no children of her own but reared two, Mrs. Harry McClellan and Willard Smith. She also leaves two brothers and a sister; George Elly Craig, McCredie; R. S. Craig, Fulton; and Mrs. Belle Wallace, McCredie, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Simcoe united with the Richland Baptist Church early in life but moved her membership to the Fulton church later. She had been residing with her brother in Fulton since 1933. She was familiarly known by her neighbors and friends as "Auntie" and numbered her friends by her acquaintances. She bore her long suffering with patience and her passing brings sincere regret to a host of friends.
