• Notes

  In 1850 this family was living next door to her parents. Two children, James and Richard, were in the Cra(i)ghead book with no dates or information. Since this family had 12 children and I have only found info for 10, they must have died young without ever being listed on a census. The book also had Fannie and Catherine F. as two different daughters, with no info about Catherine. They were the same person. FISHER, CRAGHEAD - At her residence, three miles south west of Fulton, April 12th, 1878, Mrs. Mary Fisher, wife of Joseph Fisher sen., in the sixty-eighth year of her age. She was born in Franklin county, Virginia, emigrated to Missouri with her parents in 1818 and located four miles south west of Fulton. In 1827 she was married to Joseph Fisher. She was the mother of twelve children, five of whom have preceded her to the spirit world. Mrs. Fisher's maiden name was Craghead, daughter of Wm. R. and Nancy Craghead. -- She was buried at Mt. Carmel Church, four miles southwest of Fulton. Apr 18, 1878. note: obit says her father was Wm R. Craghead. The Cra(i)ghead book and the Maxey files say he was Robert Craghead. Robert Craghead is the correct name of her father.
