    • Benjamin Robertson was the son of Rev. Benjamin Robertson and Miss Buchanan.

      DAR Lineage book says; he was enlisted in N. Carolina 17 April, 1776, Sgt. of Continental line and promoted to Musician Nov. 1778.

      Va. granted 200 A. for service. (Collin's History of Ky. Vol.1, pg.8.)

      Fought in Indian War 1782 under Col. Benjamin Logan.

      Pension granted in Ky. 1832.

      Came to Montgomery Co. Ky ca 1790.

      Living in 1840 Census of Pensioners with son-in-law Moses Grooms, age 84, born in Va.

      Name on Census sometimes Robinson, & on deeds.

      Owned land on Hicham Creek 3 m. north of Mt. Sterling.
