    • Judge Clarence D. Blackburn

      Judge Clarence D. Blackburn, 93, of Fulton, died Tuesday, July 30, 1991 in the Kingdom Nursing Home in Fulton.

      He was born July 5, 1898 in Readsville, a son of George and Mary Jane Maddox Blackburn. He married Nora E. Carver Oct. 22, 1919 in Hermann. She preceded him in death in 1986.

      Survivors include two daughters, Maxine Thomas of Mokane and Betty Eikel Ferrier of Mexico; one brother, Russell Blackburn of Mexico; three sons-in-law; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two half-brothers, one half-sister, one daughter, Pearl Hays, one son-in-law, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

      He held the position of Eastern District Judge of Callaway County for 20 years. He was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church in Readsville, the Soil Conservation Committee, and the Kingdom Nursing Home Board. He also served as president of the nursing home board for a number of years.

      Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery in Readsville.

      Memorials may be made to the Timbrook House where Mr. Blackburn'sgranddaughter is a resident, in care of the Callaway County Special
      Services, 506 Jefferson St., Fulton, Mo. 65251, the family said.
