A party of Kansas City young people will go to Decatur, Ill., tomorrow to attend the wedding of Miss Marie Powers of that city and Dr. Herbert Gregory Tureman of Kansas City, which will take place next Saturday night. The event will be a double celebration, as it will also mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of the wedding of Miss Powers parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Powers. Those who will go from Kansas City are Arthur P. Tureman, best man; ILA Walpole, IB Dunlap and Emil Bachman.

Springfeld, Ill., Oct. 15 - Dr. Herbert G. Tureman of Kansas City, Mo., and Miss Marie Powers, a society young woman of Decatur, were married tonight at the First Presbyterian church in Decatur, the Rev. W. Penhallogon, the pastor, officiating. It was a fashionable event. A reception followed at the residence of the bride's parents. Dr. and MRs. Tureman left at midnight for a two weeks trip in the East.

Missouri numbers him among her native sons for his birth occurred in Callaway county, January 17, 1875, his parents being Robert W. and Sally (Flood) Tureman, who were also natives of Callaway county. The father has devoted his life to financial interests and was an officer of the First National Bank of Mexico, Missouri, whence he removed to Kansas City where he has successfully engaged in banking and real estate business since 1885.
