      Van Sheley was born on 6 Nov 1797.

      He was married to Patsy Martha Woods about 1825 in Albemarle County, Virginia.

      He was married to Nancy Overton on 23 Dec 1862 in Callaway County, Missouri. I have not yet found out who her parents were. Overton might have been a 1st husband's name and not her maiden name. I do not know.

      In 1880, Nancy Sheley, age 70, was living with her daughter, Judy Hawkins Cason's family. Nancy Overton Sheley was the 2nd wife of Van Sheley.
