In Her husband, Thomas Boyd's will, it is clearly Grizella....TMShort II The following is from the Pioneer Families of Missouri book written in 1876, which is not always accurate: BOYD, Thomas Boyd, of Pennsylvania, married GREZELDA ALLEN, of the same state, and settled first in Montgomery Co., KY., from whence they removed to Callaway Co., MO., in 1827. Their children were Robert, John, Joseph, Thomas, Jane and Eleanor. Robert married MARGARET RALLSTON, and died in 1872 without issue. Colonel John Boyd, still living in Callaway Co., was a soldier in the war of 1812. He married MARY A. SCOTT, of MO., by whom he had William S., John R., Joseph, Benjamin F., Charles O., Edward L., Grezelda A., Lydia A., George F., Mary E., Sarah E., and Thomas A. The first 7 are living. Joseph, son of Thomas Boyd, Sr., married ANN KING, by whom he had Malinda J., James E., Thomas G., Cynthia A., Robert M., John K., Grezelda M., Elizabeth S., Caroline H., Joseph W. W., and newton C. Mr. Boyd settled in Callaway Co. in 1822. Thomas, son of Thomas Boyd, Sr., married ANN DAVIS, by whom he had Eliza, Thomas, Grezelda, Mary J., Amanda, and Margaret. Jane Boyd married ISAAC P. HOWE, by whom she had Jane, William, John, Thomas, David, Harvey, Margaret and Mary. Ellen married THOMAS CALDWELL who settled in Callaway Co. in 1826.
