    • Fern Houchins, 87, of Fulton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Fulton Presbyterian Manor. She was born December 28, 1919 in Callaway County, Missouri a daughter of the late C.H. and Eula (Wright) Houchins.
      She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one sister-in-law, Dixie Houchins of Springfield, Missouri; two nephews, Andrew and Curtis Houchins of Springfield, Missouri; and many dear friends, including Sally Williams of Fulton, Missouri and Betty Wheeler Hall of Holts Summit, Missouri.
      Fern retired from the Callaway Bank as head bookkeeper after thirty-five years with the bank. She was a member of the ABWA, National Humane Society, Callaway County Humane Society, and the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
      Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be at Ebenezer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Callaway County Humane Society, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Blvd., Fulton, Missouri 65251.
