  	Timothy Holt Dead. Timothy Holt, 75 years old, a native of Callaway county, died at his home in New Bloomfield Monday of liver trouble. He had been in poor health more than a year but was not confined to his bed until a month ago. Funeral services were held at Hopewell Baptist church, west of New Bloomfield, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. C.A. Mitchell, of Mexico, preaching the sermon, and burial was in the church cemetery with the honors of Free Masonry. Mr. Holt was born near Holt Summit and spent his whole life in the county. He was married in 1858 to Miss Elizabeth Clatterbuck, also fo this county, and she, with ten children, survive. The children are L. Hamilton, James W., Horace S., and A. Payne Holt, and Mrs. John Hudson, Mrs. Mitchell P. Fox and Mrs. Pearl Stewart, all of New Bloomfield; Mrs. Thomas Greenway of St. Louis; Mrs. William G. Yates, of Nebraska, and Clinton Holt of Tahlequah, Okla. Mrs. Saluda Cathrine Beaven, of Fulton, is the only surviving sister. Mr. Holt united with the Baptist church when he was about fourteen years old, and for mmore than sixty years was a faithful follower of its teachings. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity 48 years and was considered one of the stand-bys of the New Bloomfield lodge. Mr. Holt was a man of high character and was universally esteemed in the section in which he lived as a useful citizen and good neighbor. The Gazette extends sympathy to those who mourn his passing.
