Permelia Frances Overton Day was a daughter of Benjamin Frances Overton and Ann S. Holt. She was my great great grandmother. This tintype was made about 1878 in Texas. She died 2 years later in childbirth. Her husband and daughter came back to Missouri after her death.

Mrs. Permilia Day Abt 23 21 Feb 1880 Callaway Weekly Gazette

I think they had already come back from Texas when she died, and Oddie remembered the trip, just wrong time frame? The records all say she died in Callaway Co.

I believe she was buried in the destroyed Overton family cemetery.

      Pat McAlister notes:
They must have married in MO
I just know she died in Texas. Oddie spoke of coming back by wagon to MO
In the Callaway Weekly Gazette - Feb.27, 1880: Obit
On February 21st, near Boydsville, Mrs. Permelia Day, wife of Sanders Day, aged about 23, and daughter of B.F. Overton, of Texas.-
From The Fulton Telegraph - Fri - Mar. 5, 1880 Mrs. Amelia Day, wife of Sanders Day, died near Boydsville, on Saturday, Feb. 21, 1880, aged about 25 years. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. Overton.
It is possible that Aunt Frances was meaning to write Permelia instead of Pamela. It is spelled in Frances' notebook, Pamelia, but may be 'rn' instead of 'm'. Sonny says she was Frances. That is probably what they called her. However Carol Day says she was Amelia Overton, daughter of Benjamin F. Overton-Callaway Co, MO. Oddie's obit said her name was Elizabeth Overton, probably someone gave her that name because Bessie was named after her. Her name was not Elizabeth. She had a stillborn baby after Oddie, assuming she died in childbirth. I am settling on Permelia because of official papers, also calling her Amelia.
