    • Lillian Genive Perdue died September 23, 2003 at the age of 85, at the Callaway Community Hospital. She was the daughter of Obie and Pearl Menefee Herring.
      She graduated from Fulton High School. On August 1, 1936, she married Earl Helmig. They had three daughters, Eva May, whose husband is Loyd Sims of Morristown TN., Geneva Kay and husband, Bob Morris of Fulton, and Lillian Fay whose husband is Thomas H. Fisher of Starkville MS. She married Ernest A. Dick on Nov. 14, 1943. He died on Nov. 9, 1969. To this union, she is survived by a son, Ernest Ray Dick and four step-children. Ernest Beal Dick, Bobby P. Dick, Edward L. Farmer and James M. Farmer. On Aug. 15, 1976, she married Claude M. Perdue. He died Dec. 9, 1991. She is survived by one sister, Treva Farmer of Fulton and 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three husbands, two brothers, Charles W. Herring and Frank Herring, and one sister, Irene Jacks.
      She worked for the secretary of the Federal Land Bank of St. Louis, the International Shoe Co., and retired from the Division of Employment Security in Jefferson City after 23 years of service.
      She was born and raised in Fulton and spent her life here except for 16 years when she lived in Marshall, MO. She moved back to Fulton in 1992. She has resided at the Presbyterian Manor since 1998. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Fulton where she was a member of the board, served as an Eldeer and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Christian Women Fellowship, Church Women United, and the Fulton Garden Club.
      Her funeral will be at the First Christian Church, Friday, September 26 at 2 p.m. with visitation at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Services will be conducted by Rev,. Ray Dunlap, Dr. Raymond McCallister, and Mr. Bruce Williamson. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Fulton.
      Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church, Fulton, or Presbyterian Manor, Fulton.

    • Lillian Genive Perdue, age 85, died Tuesday, September 23, 2003, at Callaway Hospital.
      She was the daughter of Obie and Pearl (Menefee) Herring. On August 1, 1936, she married Earl Helmig, he preceded her in death. On November 14, 1943, she married Ernest A. Dick, he preceded her in death. On August 15, 1976, she married Claude M. Perdue, he preceded her in death.
      Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2003, at the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, MO.
      Funeral services will be at the First Christian Church, Friday, September 26, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ray Dunlap, Dr. Raymond McCallister and Mr. Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Fulton.
