    • Passed Away Thursday Morning at Home of Mother on North Bluff Street
Claude Herring, 22 years old, died at 3 o'clock, Thursday morning, at the home of his mother, Mrs. C.A. Herring on North Bluff street, after a lingering illness with tuberculosis. Herring took sick about nine months ago and shortly afterwards went to the Oaks Home in Denver, Colorado, being accompanied by his sister, Miss Trennie Herring, a trained nurse. He returned last November and his decline in health has been gradual since that time.
Young Herring was born in Callaway county and lived all his life in Fulton and vicinity. He was a clerk in Fulton establishments up to the time of his illness, being at work at the Frank & Lorenz bakery, when he was taken ill.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife and son, Claude Jr., who live in St. Louis, three sisters, Mrs. Walter Henderson of Kansas City, Mrs. Edgar Mosely of Mexico, Miss Trennie Herring of fulton, and three brothers, Earl, Carl and Harry.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Mr. Carmel church, Rev. Murvill C. Hutchinson of fulton officiating and burial will be in the cemetery there. Young Herring was a member of the Christian church.
