DIED - Herring - Died at his late residence, Mr. Geo W. Herring, on Thursday, September 20, 1878, from the effects of a carbuncle on his throat.
Mr. Herring was born July 10th, A.D, 1823 and was married to Miss Hester Ann [s/b Kemp] Herring, March 9th, 1843. He joined the Christian church some thirty years ago, and died rejoicing in the hope of immortality. He leaves a widow and nine children, and many relatives and friends to mourn his loss. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him, as the large concourse of people who attended the funeral services conducted by the writer, testified. May God bless the widow and children. E. H. C.
