    • John McCue Died Friday
Auxvasse Young Man Had Been Ill For Many Years - Well Known in This City
John McCue, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.S. McCue of Auxvasse, died at the home of his parents, Friday about noon. He had been ill for about three years, though not confined to his home during that time. He was suffering from some kind of a paralysis of the throat which the medical profession declared was of a very unusual nature. He went to the Mayo Brothers at Rochester a year ago last summer but they were unable to do anything for him.
Mr. McCue attended Westminster College in this city for several years and has many friends and relatives in this city. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and Masonic lodge and had lived an exempliary life.
Funeral serives for John McCue who died Friday morning at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.S. McCue at Auxvasse, were held at 11 o'clock, Sunday morning at the Presbyterian church in Auxvasse. Because of the illness of Rev. S.G. Wood, pastor of the church, the sermon was preached by Rev. L.R. King of Williamsburg. The Masons had charge of the ritualistic services and there was an escort of Knight Templars of Mexico of which the young man was a member. Several from Fulton attended the funeral. Burial was in the Old Auxvass Cemetery in northeast Callaway.
