    • Mrs. S.H. Powell Died In Columbia
      Funeral Services Saturday Afternoon At Maupin Funeral Home
      Mrs. Mary Isabel Powell, 88, died Friday morning in Columbia after an illness of eleven months resulting from a stroke last April.
      Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Maupin Funeral Home.
      Mrs. Powell was born October 3, 1859 near New Bloomfield, the daughter of the late Robert T. and Mary Ann Nichols, pioneer residents of Callaway County. She was married on Mar. 4, 1884 to Samuel H. Powell who died in 1937.
      Surviving are three children, Mrs. T.L. Nolin of Columbia, Mrs. R.O. Baker and Charles Powell of Fulton, a sister, Mrs. J.H. Wise of Springfield, Mo., and two brothers, W.L. Nichols of Tyler, Texas, and O.R. Nichols of Fulton. Mrs. Powell was a life long member of the Presbyterian Church.

      Funeral Service for Mrs. Powell Today
      Funeral services for Mrs. S.H. Powell of Fulton, who died in Columbia early yesterday, are being held in Fulton this afternoon.
      Mayor and Mrs. M.P. Blackmore and County Collector and Mrs. J.E. Blackmore, nephews of Mrs. Powell, and Mrs. L.T. Nolin, 1405 Bass avenue, a daughter, will attend the funeral.
