| George Washington Herring Sr., born 1794 in Albemarle Co. Virginia. This picture was taken before 1876. He was my great great grandfather. A veteran of the War of 1812, he came to Callaway Co. Missouri in 1835 and settled on land south of Fulton Mo. He married Lucy Simco in Virginia on December 28, 1829. George W. Herring died on July 23 1876, and is buried on his land in the Herring Private Cemetery #1 in Callaway Co. Missouri. |
