He was a grandson of Nathaniel Dillard Carrington and Eliza S. Herring, and, John F. Craghead and Martha L. Brooks. J. Russel Craighead was my 1st cousin once removed through his maternal line and my 4th cousin 2 times removed through his paternal line. In 1930 he married Merle Love. She was a daughter of Edgar Love and Anna O. unknown. | |

She was a granddaughter of William Alexander Brooks and Eliza J. Thomas, and, Flemming Ried Pasley and Millie Amelia Kemp. She was my 4th cousin twice removed. She married John Crawford Craghead, I have not yet found who his parents were. | |

He was a son of George W. Herring and Hester Ann Kemp. He was a grandson of John Herring and Lucy Carver, and, Walter Kemp and Jerusha Key. James G. Herring was my great granduncle. On Nov. 12, 1890 in Callaway Co., Missouri, he married Clara Viola Davis. She was born Dec. 24, 1862 and died March 18, 1926. Clara Davis was a daughter of Elisha K. Davis and Nancy G. Carrington. She was a granddaughter of Randolph Carrington and Katharine McGary. She was my 1st cousin 3 times removed. | |
