William P. Holt Headstone Photo, Dry Fork Cemetery

William P. Holt, born Jan. 8, 1814, stone is broken. William P. Holt was born in Virginia in 1814 and died Dec. 1, 1863 in Callaway Co., Missouri. He was a son of Hiram Holt and Jane Stanfield, a grandson of Timothy Holt and Elizabeth Chambers. He was my 3rd great granduncle. If anyone knows what the carvings on this headstone signify, please let me know.
