Herring - William T. 1860 - 1926, Annie L. His Wife, 1870 - 1948. Sweet Rest Be Thine. William Thomas Herring was born Feb. 3, 1860, and died June 10, 1926. He was a son of Dabney Carver Herring and Mary Francis Simco. He was a grandson of John Herring and Lucy Carver, and Reuben Brooks Simco and Sarah Cowherd Hill. William T. Herring was my 1st cousin 3 times removed. On 23 Feb 1891 in Callaway Co., Missouri, he married Annie Lydia Meloy. They were the grandparents of Helen Herring Stephens, the 1936 Olympic Gold Medal track star.
