Mary Simco Herring Headstone Photo, Mt. Carmel Cemetery

In memory of mother, Mary F. Herring, born Feb 1, 1836, died June 15, 1919. Sleep on dear mother and take thy rest. Pillowed on thy Savior's breast. Mary Francis Simco was a daughter of Reuben Brooks Simco and Sarah Cowherd Hill originally of Virginia. She was a granddaughter of James Simco and Francis Canada, and, John Hill and Agnes Brockman. Mary Francis Simco was my was my 1st cousin 3 times removed. On Feb 26, 1857 in Callaway Co., Missouri, she married my 2nd great granduncle, Dabney Carver Herring.
