Dabney C. Herring, died Nov 15, 1896 age 67 ys 1 mo 3 dys. Go home dear friends and dry your eyes. When Christ apears I will arise. Dabney Carver Herring was born Oct. 12, 1829 in Albemarle Co. Virginia, He was a son of John Herring and Lucy Carver. He was a grandson of George Herring and Elizabeth Closby, and, Jarrell Carver and Nancy Beck. On Feb 26, 1857 in Callaway Co., Missouri, he married my 1st cousin 3 times removed, Mary Francis Simco. Dabney Herring was my great great granduncle.
