Thomas H. Carter, son of John G. Carter and Matilda Herring, b: Apr 4, 1859 d: Feb 20, 1865, Callaway Co. Missouri. He was a son of John G. Carter and Matilda J. Herring, b: May 7, 1846, d: May 7, 1846 Callaway Co. Missouri. He was a grandson of Mariah Hill and John B. Herring, and, Robert P. Carter and Mary Polly Smith. He was my great granduncle. Readable headstone existed in 1933.
