Benjamin Herring Headstone Photo, Herring Carter Cemetery (destroyed)

Benjamin Herring, my 4th great grandfather, father of John B. Herring. born between 1866 and 1775, Albemarle Co. Virginia, died 1838, Callaway Co. Missouri. On Dec. 27, 1797 in Albemarle Co., Virginia he married Nancy Hill. She died between 1810 and 1819 in Albemarle Co., Virginia. He was probably one of the 1st burials here. His headstone was not found in 1933 when the DAR listed this cemetery.
