Mary Walker Sparks Allen Headstone Photo, Mt. Tabor Cemetery

Mary Allen, Died July 25, 1910, Aged 82 Yrs. May she rest in peace. Allen. This was Mary L. Walker, born July 15, 1828 in Tennessee, daughter of Thomas Walker and Bettie Langley. She 1st married Samuel Sparks of Virginia on Dec. 31, 1846 in Callaway Co., Missouri. They had 3 children. She then married John Karah Allen, son of Joseph Darby Allen and Mary Margaret Murphy. They had 5 children, including my great grandmother, Josima McNerva Allen who married George Washington Herring Jr. Mary Walker Allen was my great great grandmother.
